LIVE AT THE AUSTIN OUTHOUSE
ALBUM BY BLAZE FOLEY
Blaze Foley is a country singer and songwriter that died too soon in 1989 at the age of 39. He lived on the outskirts of society, in artists communities, on the road, and even built a house in a tree in the woods. His songs are simple and moving. He dedicated his life to music, and you can feel it when you listen. Blaze was always well known as a part of the outlaw movement in country music and his songs have been covered by many country stars, but he is only more recently getting his flowers as a moving songwriter in his own right. Live From The Austin Outhouse is a good album to get a sense of the man, and hear some of his best songs.

UNBUILD IT

The UnBuild It podcast records friendly conversations between an architect, a building scientist, and a builder about how buildings work and how to make them better. They turn what could be a pretty dry subject into fascinating musings about their own craft and really getting to the root of whatever they’re focused on that week, with plenty of dad-tier puns mixed in. They spend plenty of time talking about the nature of building and improving your own practice whether you build, design, investigate, or just like buildings. It’s the rare combo of something that appeals to newcomers to building science and old heads alike.
